Lina Romay began appearing in Jesus Franco's films from the time they met in 1971 (when Franco was recovering from the death of his former star actress Soledad Miranda), and she has since appeared in over 100 feature films, most of them directed by Franco. Among the most famous of these movies are The Bare Breasted Countess (aka Female Vampire), Jack the Ripper and Barbed Wire Dolls.[1] Lina Romay's screen name comes from an actress and jazz artist from the 1940s.
